Every treatment is offered only after a doctor’s assessment, and planned to suit your condition. Times below are for a single session. Your doctor decides which treatment and which herbal preparation is right for you.

Abhyanga — warm herbal oil massage

Ayurveda’s most familiar treatment: the same gentle technique applied to the whole body or focused on one area.

Treatment Time What it is
Sarvanga Abhyanga 45–60 min Full-body warm oil massage — our foundational treatment for relaxation and easing muscle and joint tension.
Sarvanga — synchronised 45–60 min The same massage performed by two therapists in mirrored rhythm, for a deeper, more even treatment.
Focused Abhyanga 15–30 min Oil massage focused on one area — back, lower back, shoulder, neck, arm, hand, knee, foot, abdomen or a single joint.
Shiro Abhyanga 20–30 min Warm oil head massage, for scalp comfort and relaxation.
Mukha Abhyanga 15–20 min Gentle oil massage for the face.
Marma Abhyanga 30–45 min Gentle oil massage over specific vital-point areas of the body.

Sweda Karma — herbal heat and sweat therapy

Controlled heat, using herbal poultices, steam or warm sand, to ease stiffness and support circulation.

Treatment Time What it is
Patra Pinda Sweda 45–60 min Warm herbal-leaf poultices massaged over the body after oiling, to ease stiffness.
Shashtika Shali Pinda Sweda 45–60 min Warm boluses of medicated milk and rice — a nourishing treatment for muscle and nerve comfort.
Pottali Sweda 15–30 min Warm herbal-powder poultices, oiled or dry, applied to ease localised stiffness.
Nadi Sweda 10–15 min A warm herbal-decoction stream directed at a specific area.
Bashpa Swedana 15–20 min Full-body herbal steam following an oil application.
Pizhichil 60–90 min A continuous warm-oil bath, poured rhythmically over the body by two therapists.
Valuka Sweda 10 min Fomentation using heated sand and rock salt in cloth bundles.

Sthanika Vasti — localised oil pooling

Warm medicated oil held in place over one area for longer, deeper absorption than massage alone.

Treatment Time What it is
Kati Vasti 30–45 min Warm oil pooled over the lower back inside a dough dam.
Greeva Vasti 30–45 min Warm oil pooled over the neck, for neck stiffness and discomfort.
Janu Basti 30–45 min Warm oil pooled over the knee joint.
Shiro Vasti 30–45 min Warm oil held on the head inside a cap; used for head and scalp concerns.

Dhara — continuous oil and herbal streams

A steady stream of warm fluid poured over the forehead or scalp. The fluid changes depending on what is being treated.

Treatment Time What it is
Shirodhara 45–60 min A continuous, gentle stream of warm oil over the forehead — widely known for its calming effect.
Kshira Dhara 45–60 min The same stream using warm medicated milk, a gentler variant.
Takra Dhara 45–60 min Using medicated buttermilk, often for scalp and skin comfort.
Kashaya Dhara 45–60 min Using a warm herbal decoction in place of oil or milk.

Eye, ear, mouth and skin care

Treatment Time What it is
Akshi Tharpana 30–45 min Warm medicated ghee gently retained around the eyes, to soothe eye strain and dryness.
Karna Purana 15–20 min Warm medicated oil drops placed in the ear and retained briefly.
Kavala / Gandusha 10–15 min Holding warm medicated oil or a herbal decoction in the mouth — a traditional oral-care practice.
Udvartana 45–60 min A brisk, dry herbal-powder massage that supports circulation and leaves skin feeling firmer.

Lepa and Pichu — herbal pastes and oil pads

Applied directly over an affected joint or muscle and left in place. The area treated determines what is used.

Treatment Time What it is
Pattu (Lepa Chikitsa) 20–40 min A warm herbal paste applied over an affected joint or muscle to ease pain and swelling.
Thaila Pichu 20–30 min A cotton pad soaked in medicated oil, placed over an affected joint or muscle.
Thalapodichil 30–45 min A cooling herbal paste applied over the scalp after a light oil application.

Panchakarma — classical cleansing procedures

The more involved classical procedures, prescribed and dosed individually by the doctor after assessment.
