A blocked nose, sinus pressure or a cough that won’t settle can disturb your sleep and your day. Our doctors look for what keeps triggering it, then plan care to ease it.

  • Registered Ayurvedic doctors
  • A full assessment before any treatment
  • At our Anuradhapura clinic or online
  • Consultations in Sinhala and English

Problems we commonly see

  • Sinus problems
  • Nasal allergies: sneezing, blocked or runny nose
  • Asthma
  • Chronic cough
  • Selected other nasal and breathing complaints

Not sure if yours fits? Ask us. We’ll tell you honestly whether we can help.

How we work: cause → signs → remedy

  1. Find the cause. What keeps setting it off: dust, weather, food, smoke, or lifestyle triggers.
  2. Read your signs. When it happens, how long it lasts, what you breathe out or cough up, and any reports you bring.
  3. Plan the remedy. Treatment chosen for you, not a standard package.

What treatment may include

Treatment depends on your condition. Your doctor decides on it after discussing it with you. It may include:

  • Herbal medicines to take at home
  • Nasal and steam therapies, for example Nasya Karma (medicated oil given through the nose) and Nadi Sweda (directed herbal steam)
  • Diet and daily-routine advice to reduce your triggers

See all our treatments.

What to expect

  • First visit: 45–60 minutes with the doctor. Bring any reports, your inhalers and your list of medicines.
  • Your plan: explained clearly, so you know what each step is for.
  • Therapy courses, where needed, are planned around your condition, so their length differs from person to person.
  • Follow-up visits to check progress and adjust your plan.

Go to a hospital first if…

  • Difficulty breathing, or unable to speak in full sentences
  • Blue lips or fingertips
  • An asthma attack that your reliever inhaler doesn’t help
  • Coughing up blood, or chest pain with a high fever

Ayurvedic care is not a substitute for emergency care. If you have any of these, please get medical help the same day.
